Cookies management charter


This Cookies Management Charter applies to users (Hereinafter the “USERS”) of the SQUARLY® web PLATFORM (Hereinafter the “PLATFORM”) i.e. anyone who accesses and browses on the PLATFORM as a PRODUCER or as a BUYER, as well as all web visitors.

By browsing on the PLATFORM, you consent to cookies as described below being placed on your terminal, in accordance with this Cookies Management Charter.


WASTE2TRADE, a simplified joint stock company, with share capital of EUR 25,000, registered on the Nantes Register of Trade and Commerce under number 839 315 934, with its registered office at 2 bis, rue Robert le Ricolais – CS 60414 – 44300 Nantes Cedex 3, represented by its legal representative, duly authorised for the purpose hereof (hereinafter the “OPERATOR”, “WASTE2TRADE” or “We”) controls the processing of the USER data collected via the PLATFORM. 


A cookie is a small text file deposited on your terminal’s hard drive when you visit a website. It records certain information about your browsing or your online habits which enable us to improve and facilitate your experience as a web user.


The cookies used on the PLATFORM are used to distinguish you to improve your browsing experience and the services that we offer you.

In practice, technical cookies enable us to authenticate you, identify you and improve the speed of your browsing on our PLATFORM and access to its different functionalities. Where appropriate, they may record your preferences or measure how the PLATFORM is used.

Other audience measurement cookies and trackers may be used by us to produce audience statistics for our website, to help us improve and to make it more convenient for you when visiting our PLATFORM and to target advertising and promotions in relation to your browsing habits. 


WASTE2TRADE promotes transparency in the processing of your data. In this respect and so that your information is as clear as possible, you will find below various cookies used on the PLATFORM and their purpose:

                  4.1    First-party cookies

Operational and technical cookies mainly help to improve your browsing experience on the PLATFORM. These are those which send information to our PLATFORM and to your browser: storage of information relating to a form (login, address), your terminal’s display preferences (language, resolution), security measures such as expiry of your session, etc.

Purpose of cookie : This cookie enables us to know whether the General Conditions for Use (GCU) have been accepted.
It is created when the User remains more than 15 seconds on a page or scrolls down the page.

NOTE : it is not linked to acceptance of the Onboarding GCS (General Conditions of Service).    

Duration : 365 days

Name of cookie : PHPSESSID    

Purpose of cookie : PHP Session Cookie needed to keep the User connected    

Duration : Session (expires on closure of the browser)


Name of cookie : hl  

Purpose of cookie : Contains the display language    

Duration : 1 year

Please note: browsing on the PLATFORM and/or use of certain functionalities may be altered if you choose to de-activate these cookies.

                 4.2    Third-party cookies

By going onto the PLATFORM, it is possible that partner companies may leave cookies on your terminal.

The use of these cookies is subject to the same restrictions on the protection of personal data set out by the “Data Protection” Act No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978. You can de-activate just these third-party cookies or ours as well in your browser’s settings. There are in particular:

The cookies linked to advertising, used by advertising service providers on the PLATFORM.

They enable the services viewed or purchased to be identified and promote personalisation of the advertising offering. The objective of the cookies contained even within adverts is to provide information and statistics about the relevance of their distribution (number of users clicking on the advert, number of times it is displayed, etc.).

Purpose of cookie : These cookies, described at the address, enable anonymous information to be collected and reports to be generated on the PLATFORM’s usage statistics without you being identified personally by Google

WASTE2TRADE would like to inform you that it uses the services of Google Analytics to measure the PLATFORM’s audience. You can refuse monitoring of your browsing on the PLATFORM via the Google Analytics tool and by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser add-on for your current Browser on the PLATFORM accessible at the following address:


On your computers, Smartphones and other terminals with internet access, the browser software accepts the cookies present on websites by default.

But you are still in charge of the installation of these cookies as you can configure your browser software to:

  • Accept or refuse the cookies found on the PLATFORM;
  • Automatically refuse all cookies;

As stated previously, by choosing to block our cookies, we should inform you that browsing on the PLATFORM and/or use of certain functionalities may be altered. If you choose to delete all cookies, your user experience will be greatly affected and your browsing preferences will be deleted.


By browsing on the PLATFORM, you are agreeing to WASTE2TRADE installing “technical” cookies which access, record and view the information stored on your terminal equipment:

  • Having the exclusive purposes of enabling or facilitating electronic communication;
  • Strictly necessary for the provision of the PLATFORM’s online communications service.

When you register on the PLATFORM, you were also informed of the presence of tracking cookies, specifically intended to suggest offers to you in line with your interests and to produce visit statistics and the option for you to object to such by accessing this Cookies Management Charter. 
You will always be informed of the purposes for which your data has been collected by us via the various online data collection forms, your client account or via our Confidentiality Policy, accessible on the following page: for the French version and for the English version

If the browser permits such, you can de-activate these cookies at any time, by following the procedure indicated by this browser. However, WASTE2TRADE informs you that such de-activation may result in access to the PLATFORM being slowed down and/or disrupted.


In accordance with the Data Protection Act No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 and (EU) Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and Council of 27 April 2016, which came into force on 25 May 2018 (hereinafter “GDPR”), you have the following rights:

  • Right of access (Article 15 GDPR), rectification (Article 16 GDPR), update, completeness of your data;
  • Right to blocking or deletion of your personal data (Article 17 GDPR), when it is incorrect, incomplete, equivocal, outdated or when the collection, use, communication or retention of such is prohibited;
  • Right to withdraw your consent at any time (Article 13-2c GDPR);
  • Right to limit the processing of your data (Article 18 GDPR);
  • Right to object to the processing of your data (Article 21 GDPR);
  • Right to the portability of the data you have provided to us, when your data has been automatically processed based on your consent or on a contract (Article 20 GDPR);
  • Right to define the fate of your data after your death and to choose whether or not we communicate your data to a third party which you have appointed in advance.

In the event of death and in the absence of instructions by you, we undertake to destroy your data, except where it is necessary to retain such data for evidential purposes or to comply with a statutory obligation.

These rights may be exercised by simple request by email to the address or by sending a letter to WASTE2TRADE, 2bis rue Robert le Ricolais – CS 60414 – 44300 Nantes Cedex 3, giving their details (surname, first name, address) and a legitimate reason when this is required by law (in particular in the case of objection to processing).

If you send us a copy of an ID document to prove your identity, we will keep it for one (1) year or three (3) years when it is sent in respect of the exercise of a right of objection.

The information stored on your terminal (e.g. cookies) or any other information used to identify you for audience statistics purposes will never be retained for more than six (6) months.

After this period, the raw visit data associated with a login is either deleted or anonymised.
